Stanley J. Horn
Managing Partner
Stanley J. Horn has been a force in the Chicago immigration law community for more than 30 years.
During that time Mr. Horn has practiced in all areas of immigration law, including family, employment, and
deportation defense. Although practicing in all areas of immigration he specializes in deportation defense
related to criminal matters. Many of Mr. Horn's clients are thankful to him for maintaining or obtaining their
legal permanent residence after being placed in removal proceedings for committing a crime. He also has
special knowledge of asylum and extradition matters.
Besides his immigration practice Mr. Horn also assists clients in criminal cases, family matters, investment and
trade, as well as other general legal issues. He is licensed to practice throughout the United States and has
won appellate cases in numerous circuits. Stan has been listed to Super Lawyers as an outstanding attorney
for a number of years.

Vivian R. Khalaf

Ms. Khalaf's practice focuses on family law, with an emphasis on Islamic matrimonial issues and commercial and criminal

Born in Jerusalem, Ms. Khalaf is fluent in the Arabic languages and represents a multitude of individuals and corporate
clients from various regions in the Middle East. She has resided in both Israel and Jordan and travels to the region on a

Laureen R. Anderson-Stepanek
Attorney at Law
Laureen Anderson-Stepanek specializes in complex immigration law matters while providing her clients limited
services in family, employment, and criminal law matters. She has worked in the international relocation industry counseling companies on employee relocation benefits, specifically related to international immigration and
employment matters, international taxation, real estate, and movement of goods.Thereafter she worked for a
large Chicago company, advising on visa and general employment law issues. She continued to expand her area of
practice through her tenure at one of the country’s largest immigration law firms where she litigated deportation
defense cases. Mrs. Anderson-Stepanek continues to practice in employment based matters, helping companies
and individuals obtain immigrant and non-immigrant visas through employment; as well as complicated family and
defense matters.
Mrs. Anderson-Stepanek is the only immigration attorney in the country to have argued an immigration case in the
7th Circuit En Banc, and she maintains an active appellate defense practice.
